April 13, 2018 STAAR Edition Pt. 2

I'm going to wrap it up then like Migos so let's get to it.

1. Imagine training a child, no employee, no just training a group of people that you've just met for 8-10 months on something they have never done before. You have a mixed bad of intelligences and such but you have to train them all to perform a task. Then at the end of 8-10 months they take a test to assess "their knowledge."

1a. You also have to proctor their exam but cannot help them or do any coaching. Just watch but only watch enough to see them not cheating and bubbling in answers yet not enough to read the questions.

1b. You are not compensated extra for this.

1c. If any testing irregularity happens..i.e. they cheat or do something wrong, talk, etc it's your fault, you could possibly lose your license and they just get the exam voided but have to do it again at a later date.

1d. If they fail it's your fault for not training them properly. Doesn't matter that they are poor test takers, have no work ethic, missed 3 of the 8-10 month training. You are responsible for them failing. BUT if they pass...you get a golf clap and all the glory goes to the brilliant student no matter how much effort you had to invest into getting them to pass.

2. Kids get supplemental aids on the test. The aid is blank. So a kid could get a blank venn diagram and would have to recall the information to fill in the diagram in order to answer the question. Too much work for 1 problem. It would be better if the aid was completed that seems helpful.

2a. Pretend your task your task was to describe changing a tire. You had been taught this before but always with the aid of a diagram of parts. Your supplemental aid would be lines and arrows. You would have draw the tire and label the appropriate pieces THEN go back and use that information to answer the question. Dumb. You also have 40 more questions to answer.
