Teacher Observations

1. I'm glad I was in school with just the right amount of social media. Late high school and it didn't engulf our lives. It was like an escape not an extension of school.

2. Kids passions seem less pronounced than when I was younger.

3. I got caught slipping and my ipad cart got jacked. I don't understand why an English/Journalism teacher needs it but...the real problem is buying all of these online textbooks and programs and not purchasing the devices to ensure these items can be used. A middle school of 500 students fighting over 100 devices. No bueno.

4. Students imaginations are wild. Just because they talk to everything that moves doesn't mean the teachers do...well some...

5. I dislike covering other teachers classes. I know it's a thing but I stride through the day and finally reach my off periods only to have to cover a class. The pain in my soul.

5a. I thoroughly enjoy teaching kids math and the "aha" of learning.

5b. HOWEVER, I am not coming in to another teachers class to teach ya'll everyday...

5c. Tutorials are closed, too.

6. " Mrs. Washington, I prayed for a man because I was tired of being single and God sent me C********. My only requirement was that he be fine. I'm only in 8th grade so he can cheat on me or whatever...and God sent me C********. My mom said you get what you pray for but he ain't it. " ....I don't even know where to start. God doesn't make mistakes? Let's get some better standards even just for 8th grade?Ya'll would be kind of cute though...

7. I wore jeans all day and chopped it up with the principal and nobody said anything. I'm making my own dress code. #igotthejuice
