1. I like to be acknowledged for my work, from my thankless job BUT Teacher of the Year ain't it. It's more work to do and who wants to do that?
2. I do want to be acknowledged through compensation. I was thanked for my hard work and then me too'd about needing to be paid more as I was doing the me too's job...like what?
3. I knew I would face a broken team sometime during my career and I had no idea it would be so soon. I mean math is still better than everybody else but...
3b. I AIN'T running behind no adult that's running behind some other adult. Just get with the team, plan with the team ON TIME, don't extend the curriculum because you feel like it, don't be on the phone all day ( do your friends work)??, acting shocked when we're taking a test that I've mentioned every day....I mean honestly I don't see how you straight women actively seek companionship from a man. I am hurt for you. I apologize for you.
4. The day I met with a students parent was the day he went back to class to cheat on a test where he got the same exact grade as another student. The probability of that happening according to the two students in question is "1 %." I see why they cheated. They are retaking the test and are struggling...hmmph.
5. Parents of sped students...whew...wanting your kid to "be like the other kids" is fine and dandy IF they can socially function around other kids. I love my sped babies and believe they have every right and capability to learn BUT what we're not going to have is kids doing the damn fool and saying "it's because he/she's autistic, has a disability, etc" NO it's because you are letting Trevor act the damn fool. So everybody in the class has to be Stevie Wonder to the outburst? Ignore the screaming....casually duck out of the way of that backpack they threw...NOPE. It will only take one time for your child to meet the wrong kid...so please have a come to Jesus moment.
6. My school is like 60/40 Black and Hispanic but in the suburbs...a student said she felt safer in the hood than at this school because it's "too white and quiet." My suburban ass is appalled every time I hear this.
