Teacher Observations
1. Finally the end of January!
2. The girl drama is on 100,000. Schedule changes, stay away contracts, anonymous reports of "bullying" between friend groups, girls skipping in 3rd grade, 3rd graders sending written "threats" to my wife under someone elses name...but she recognized the handwriting...it's wild in these here streets.
3. Parents raise boys to make excuses.
4. Who said that just because you try out for a sport that you make the team? Public school means every child has a right to an education, not the right to be on a team or playing time.
5. Invest in your child's extracurricular activities if you want them to be good...the YMCA is not it.
6. I am teacher. I like holidays. I don't like when students have holidays and I have to come in for a PD. Where is the day where students come to school and I get a holiday?
7. Why do I have to use Presidents Day as a bad weather make up? We're already in school for 40 minutes longer than other districts and we didn't use all of our Harvey days so...add minutes to the end of the day (those are my off periods anyways) but to take away my only joy in February. I once again feel unappreciated.
8. Please give your kids well-rounded compliments when they are young so they can have esteem of self! "Beautiful, kind, funny, thoughtful, caring, appreciative..." By the time they enter school and they don't have self-esteem it is too late. Then they turn into sociopaths and crying about why people don't like them....and I'm like if you don't like yourself how can other people like you?
