1. Some people are against finals in middle school but I have come to enjoy them. Due to testing in the Spring finals are a bit of a farce so they can be a bit of fun and it's party time AND most importantly early dismissal.
2. Teacher turnover just happens, the nature of the job. Sometimes it's good riddance for people, others it's just finding a better fit and then some people you are disappointed are leaving. Now people are getting shifted and new hires...I had a real strong shit-talking crew and I hate that we are being broken up.
3. Parents are doing the fool. Your child is failing. They failed the STAAR, they failed the first six weeks, barely passed the semester.YOUR CHILD FAILED MULTIPLE CLASSES. Summer school in play. Yes you knew...don't act brand new. Talk to your kid. Talk to yourself. I'm sorry you're moving, kid is going to a far away land for the summer...if these were the plans then you and your child should have been on the same accord.
4. Captain Oblivious really made a mess of this final. First, he asked the morning of the final where it was ( he did not contribute towards the creation so he didn't get a copy), then I thought we established he was just going to make his own answer key. Nope, he wanted mine. However in his haste he gave the final review that we got two weeks ago to his kids as the final. ( This means he never gave the review which was cleaned up and revised to make the final exam so basically if you studied the review you would be solid). So after the run around he finds out that I never shared the answer key with him (whoops). However the final exam had 10 less questions than the review and was scrambled. Once he realized this he gave the final exam as the review and...HAD THE STUDENTS GRADE IT. These are real petty games and students are involved BUT he had to learn someday that I am nobody's mule. Looking at his behavior though I doubt he has any idea about any of this.
