1. It is Teacher Appreciation Week!!!! No better way to thank me then let me administer a STAAR test!
1a. It was a blessing because my kids get on my nerves talking to me about nothing. I enjoyed the silence.
1b. I did not enjoy these kids taking five-ever on this test though.
2. Most teachers aren't out here begging for gifts, I also don't believe in forced gift-giving either ( i.e. buy these specific gifts, a wish list is fine though) BUT something for your teacher or child's teacher would be nice. A card or note realllly does go a long way...
2a. I wish I was at private school just for this week because they get all the bomb gifts! Wine baskets, cars, gift cards, breakfast, lunch, dinners...man the life...
2b. We had a little note situation at work and they are hanging up in the hallway....WHY did Captain Oblivious get all these appreciation notes???I think they were all from athletics but still...now he's going to think he really did something. Ugh...yea yea yea he probably changed a kids life and kids need to be connected but he could have joined Big Brother Big Sister for all of that. Then he could be on his phone all day with no issues!
3. I did Saturday School because I'm a team player ya know but we were playing Jeopardy and there was a miscellaneous category...
"What's miss-cell-anus?
"Malicious for $500?" (Malicious was an abbreviation I was told)
"Misshellaneous" was the proper pronunciation apparently
4. A colleague was in my room due to testing tings and well...she said that I had fleas in my room...and now I have another department to beef with...my kids held it down though
"You don't know her like that! She has dogs but they don't be in the class AND we never had "fleas" until today so...."
I've taught them well!
5. In professional matters...if you want to do various positions involving education on the middle school level or know somebody that does, holla at me...also this means WORK not be on the phone all day. I would hate to have to vent about more people on here...
